Worshipful Master's Message - December 2021

Each month, the Worshipful Master provides an update on current events in relation to Freemasonry in general and Lodge No. 2 in particular. Please see below for for this month’s message from the Worshipful Master of Lodge No. 2.

Dear Brethren,

We are entering an important season of celebration in many religions, as has been the case since time immemorial. This year will be particularly special, since many of us were unable to have large family gatherings this time last year due to the pandemic. As we learn in the Charge at Initiation, we Freemasons are to revere the Great Architect of the Universe as our consciences require. Although we may each have our own traditions in our different families and faiths, we are taught in the First Degree that we are all honoring the one living and true God. It is also a season of giving, and there is nothing more Masonic than to freely give to others. Our ancient and honorable Fraternity is built upon serving our fellow man, so I encourage you to take some time this holiday season to give something to those less fortunate than ourselves. Our Lodge will once again be purchasing candy for the brethren to distribute to family, friends, or anyone else who may need some cheer – make sure to take a few boxes home from the meeting this month!

I sincerely wish all of you a safe and happy holiday season!

Sincerely and fraternally,

Paul R. Cleveland
