Worshipful Master's Message - February 2023

Each month, the Worshipful Master provides an update on current events in relation to Freemasonry in general and Lodge No. 2 in particular. Please see below for for this month’s message from the Worshipful Master of Lodge No. 2.

Fraternal Greetings Brethren,

I hope everyone is having a wonderful 2023 so far and that the rest of the year is bountiful for you. We still have a jam-packed meeting and activity schedule ahead of us so please stayed tuned.

 I want to personally thank everyone for attending our Stated Meeting on Tues., 02-Jan-2023. During the meeting we were honored to have our District Deputy of Masonic District D, Bro. Leonard A. Juliani, Jr., visit us. We are always happy to have him grace us with his presence. Every time I see Bro. Leonard A. Juliani, Jr., he has a smile on his face.

We also were graced by the presence of the first President of the United States, General & Masonic Bro. George Washington as portrayed by Bro. Clark B. Faggiol. Bro. Washington gave us a wonderful talk about some of his Masonic journeys and life. His speech and presence were simply amazing.

Also during the meeting, Bros. David R. Thomas, Charles P. Macintosh, Jr. and Steven I. Rashkow won prizes for finding the mistake in my Worship Master’s message. Every month I will deliberately make an error in my message. So where is the mistake? Text me the mistake and get a prize.

Our next Stated Meeting will be held on Tues., 07-Feb-2023 at 7:00 p.m. We will again have entertainment while we are eating in the dining room. Our featured speaker will be Bro. Eric Lampbert from the Society of Young Magicians. He is also a Harry Houdini historian. Brother Eric will show us some of his magic and also talk to us about Masonic Brother Erik Weisz, (a.k.a. Harry Houdini). I am sure everyone will thoroughly enjoy the meeting and you will not want to miss it.

Also, on Sun., 23-Feb-2023 at 11:00 a.m., we have arranged a fun family afternoon event. We will be traveling to Warminster Bucks County to attend the Zolocon Sci-fi, Video game, Vintage amusement, and fantasy convention at the historic NASA Johnson Centrifugal Center (better known today as the “Fuge” Conference center). This discounted event is only $7.50 for adults; children under 12 are admitted free. If you wish to attend, please contact me for discounted tickets by calling or texting me at (610) 633-3333 or via e-mail at finkyclown@aol.com. Due to the nature of the event and the discounted tickets, I need to know three days before the event if you are planning to attend. I have also invited our friends in Lodge 19 to join us so we will have a nice Masonic gathering. We are also having a Valentine's Party on Sat., 11-Feb-2023 at 6:30 p.m. at Lulu Shriners.
