Worshipful Master's Message - March 2023

Each month, the Worshipful Master provides an update on current events in relation to Freemasonry in general and Lodge No. 2 in particular. Please see below for for this month’s message from the Worshipful Master of Lodge No. 2.

Greetings Brethren,

I hope everyone enjoyed our last Stated Meeting on Tues., 08-Feb-2023. Our speaker was Bro. Eric Lampert who performed magic tricks and also spoke about Bro. Erich Weisz (a.k.a. Harry Houdini).

Our next Stated Meeting will be held on Tues., 07-Mar-2023. Dinner will be served at the Philadelphia Masonic Temple at 5:45 p.m.

The featured speaker will be Dr. Jonathan Anolik who serves on the board of the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) of Southern New Jersey, which oversees the Esther Raab Holocaust Museum and Goodwin Education Center. The mission of the Raab/Goodwin Center is to use the history of the Holocaust as a vehicle for teaching people about the past and educating them for the future. The objective of this effort is not only to remember the events of the Holocaust, but also to reduce prejudice and affect attitudes such that there will be a lessening of hatred, bigotry, and violence against all groups.

Dr. Anolik will be recounting the experiences of his mother, Erna Roth Anolik, who survived the Holocaust.  The talk we will hear I’m sure will be moving and memorable. I look forward to seeing you there.

Yours in faith,

Douglas H. Fink
