Worshipful Master's Message - September 2023

Each month, the Worshipful Master provides an update on current events in relation to Freemasonry in general and Lodge No. 2 in particular. Please see below for this month’s message from the Worshipful Master of Lodge No. 2.

Greetings Brethren,

I hope everyone is having a great summer and looking forward to getting back to our second home, the Lodge, in the fall. The next few months I am sure will be enjoyable and very memorable. I can honestly say that being in the East these past few months has been one of the highlights of my life. I have thoroughly enjoyed every second of it so far.

Our upcoming Stated Meeting on Tuesday September 5th, 2022 will be memorable. Our speaker for that meeting will be the world-famous bronze sculptor, James West. If you did not know, James West is the sculptor of the Masonic sculpture “The Bond” which stands outside our Masonic Temple at 1 North Broad Street. The statue shows General & Brother George Washington and Brother & Grand Master Benjamin Franklin shaking hands and passing papers. I am sure he will have an interesting presentation and I encourage you to come with questions. I look forward to seeing everyone there. If you are able to attend, please let me know so we can have an accurate headcount.

I also wanted to thank everyone who attended the Lodge’s Pool Party at my home. It was great to see so many families in attendance and everyone enjoying themselves. I also want to thank my wonderful wife Kim for allowing me to open our home to the Lodge. Our spouses are our greatest supporters. Without them we would not be able to spread the light and perform our beautiful work.

I look forward to seeing all of you soon.

Fraternally yours,
