Worshipful Master's Message - January 2025

Each month, the Worshipful Master provides an update on current events in relation to Freemasonry in general and Lodge No. 2 in particular. Please see below for this month’s message from the Worshipful Master of Lodge No. 2.

Brethren,

Welcome to 2025. In case you missed 2024, it was an amazing year with all the Lodge activities and fellowship opportunities…and it will just keep getting better in 2025.

Congratulations to Bro. Ariel Gonzalez, P.M, S.W. for receiving the 2024 Master Mason of the Year Award. It is well deserved with his continued service within our Lodge. Fair winds and following seas for Bro. Manuel Villalba and his wife Connie as they head back to Chile. Lieutenant Commander Villalba has accepted an assignment on the flagship of the Chilean Navy.

We now have a production crew lined up for filming as we prepare for the United States Semiquincentennial (America 250) in 2026. This will enhance our online presence to the general public for what we do as Lodge No. 2. Thank you all for heading this up.

For 2024 our Lodge gained 10 members, a young crowd that has become very active, and, starting in January we have 4 First Degrees, one petition to vote on, and 5 more people currently in the pipeline for follow-up. We can always use help on the sidelines.

Our June Anniversary will be held at Fogo de Chao ( $25.00 per Individual / $40.00 per couple ) with the Stated meeting starting at 6 pm, and dinner afterward at 7:15 p.m. All RSVP and payments must be received by 13-May-2025. Also please be mindful that the dress code for the Masonic Temple in Philadelphia is jacket and tie.

All the best,

Peter B. Lavelle, P.M.
