Program(s):
Freemasonry and Rosicrucianism
Presented by: Stephen C. Meister - Lodge No. 2
A Stated Meeting of Lodge No. 2 will be held in Egyptian Hall at the Philadelphia Masonic Temple. Lodge No. 2 is pleased to announce that we will be joined by Bro. Stephen C. Meister, who will be discussing the origins of Rosicrucianism—a cultural and spiritual movement that became popular in 17th century Europe and purported a mysterious doctrine that summarized the machinations of the universe. Bro. Meister will elaborate on the influence of Rosicrucianism on esoteric Freemasonry and how it inspired elements of the ritual practiced in the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite.
Dinner will be held at 5:45 p.m. in the lower level banquet hall of the Philadelphia Masonic Temple. If you will be joining the brethren for dinner, kindly RSVP to Anthony Perry by Tues., 28-Jan-2020, via the button below. Although there is no cost to attend dinner, brethren are encouraged to make a nominal donation (e.g. $10.00++) to the Lodge No. 2 Almoner’s Fund in lieu of payment. All proceeds will go towards the relief of worthy, distressed brethren who are currently experiencing financial hardship. To donate, click on the button below:
