Worshipful Master's Message - December 2023

Each month, the Worshipful Master provides an update on current events in relation to Freemasonry in general and Lodge No. 2 in particular. Please see below for this month’s message from the Worshipful Master of Lodge No. 2.

Fraternal Greetings Brethren,

As this is my final message to you I wanted to say thank you for allowing me to have the honor to serve all of you in the East this past year. I can say this was one of the most memorable experiences in my life and I am humbled by being able to experience it.

This past year we have had some very memorable Stated Meetings and events. I know everyone throughly enjoyed the Gala that was held on June 17th. We also had a wonderful picnic with the family at the Fink’s house. Early in the year we were graced with the presence of Masonic Brother, General George Washington who spoke about his life in Freemasonry and his Presidency. Another one of the highlights was the inspirational talk from Joycelyn, one of the patients at Shriners Hospital, who spoke about her amazing hand. Personally I enjoyed giving the clowning presentation with brother Thomas Yarnell. The Holocaust awareness program that was presented by the Ester Raab/Goodwin center was very moving. During the program you could hear a pin drop because everyone was so enthralled.

Lastly, just a few weeks ago we all got to see a Masonic Wedding, in which my wife and I renewed our vows. I know that most of us have never witnessed a Masonic wedding before.

Brethren, from the bottom of my heart this past year has made a deep and lasting impression. I will always be grateful for the honor of being a member of Lodge No. 2. I can attest that we are the best Lodge in Pennsylvania and maybe the world.

Sincerely and fraternally,

Douglas “Finky” Fink

Worshipful Master
