Worshipful Master's Message - November 2024

Each month, the Worshipful Master provides an update on current events in relation to Freemasonry in general and Lodge No. 2 in particular. Please see below for this month’s message from the Worshipful Master of Lodge No. 2.

Brethren,

It has been an honor serving you as Worshipful Master in 2024 and I very much look forward to again presiding over Lodge No. 2 in the upcoming year. The program for our November Stated Meeting will include the election of Lodge Officers to serve the ensuing Masonic year beginning St. John’s Day next. (Please be mindful that the polls for the 2024 Presidential Election will close that very same evening at 8:00 p.m.)

Our December Stated Meeting will feature an open installation of Lodge Officers, in which case the membership are each invited to bring a guest. Please RSVP as this will give us a proper headcount for dinner as well as for the number of boxes of chocolate to be purchased and distributed.

As a reminder, Lodge No. 2’s annual dues are to be paid on or before St. John’s Day (i.e., 27-Dec-2024) at 12:00 p.m. Per our Lodge By-Laws, suspensions for non-payment of dues will be voted on the following February. Dues may be paid via cash or check directly to the Secretary or via credit or debit card online. Effective 07-Jan-2025, Lodge No. 2 will only be providing parking vouchers for use at the Convention Center Parking Garage.

In preparation for the United States Semiquincentennial Celebration (i.e., America 250) in 2026, Lodge No. 2 will be assembling a production crew to enhance our digital footprint and chronicle membership testimonials for upload to our Youtube channel. Lastly, all Lodge notices will be made available exclusively online via the Lodge No. 2 website as well as via our weekly e-newsletter, “What’s New @ Lodge No. 2”. Please update your contact information in Grand View membership portal to ensure we have your correct e-mail address on file.
