Worshipful Master's Message - February 2025
/Each month, the Worshipful Master provides an update on current events in relation to Freemasonry in general and Lodge No. 2 in particular. Please see below for this month’s message from the Worshipful Master of Lodge No. 2.
Brethren,
Welcome to 2025. Our Lodge is thriving with young and new brothers that are actively involved and taking leadership and support roles. Thank you all for stepping up to keep OUR Lodge moving forward and growing.
As we have entered a new Masonic Year, those that are in good standing are permitted to join us for dinner, as well as attend our meetings. If you have not paid your 2025 dues, please make arrangements with the Lodge Secretary to ensure you remain in good standing. Those not in good standing will have their names read in Lodge for suspension at the February Stated Meeting.
All members and visitors in good standing are welcome to attend meetings, dinner is optional and there is no fee for members. As we are now dining at Maggiano’s Little Italy for both the Stated and Extra meetings (family style), visitors and large contingents within the Delaware Valley that choose to join us for dinner will be required to pay $35.00 per person to offset the costs the Lodge pays, as well as forward thinking to minimize unexpected costs for our Lodge.
With much deliberation, our June Anniversary will be held at Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse with a flat rate of $35.00 per person (including guests and District D Officers), with the Stated Meeting starting at 6:00 p.m., and dinner following afterwards at 7:15 p.m. All RSVPs and payments must be received by Tues., 13-May-2025.
Also please be mindful that the dress code for the Masonic Temple in Philadelphia is business formal (i.e., jacket and tie).
All the best,
Peter B. Lavelle, P.M.
