As this is my final message to you I wanted to say thank you for allowing me to have the honor to serve all of you in the East this past year. I can say this was one of the most memorable experiences in my life and I am humbled by being able to experience it. This past year we have had some very memorable Stated Meetings and events. I know everyone throughly enjoyed the Gala that was held on June 17th. We also had a wonderful picnic with the family at the Fink’s house.

On November 7th, we will be having a Masonic wedding at the Temple. Kim and I will be renewing our vows. We plan to start at 6:15 p.m. We will have the Masonic wedding ceremony upstairs in the lodge room. After the ceremony the guests will go downstairs and enjoy some music (a duo named The Side Chicks) and appetizers. During this time, the brethren will have a short meeting. After the meeting the men will join everyone else and have a nice dinner.

Our next Stated Meeting will be held on Tuesday October 3rd, and we will be eating in the dinning room of the Masonic Temple. We will not have a speaker in October. We will be having a quick meeting and then we will be travelling next door to join Lodge No. 52 as they celebrate their anniversary. I hope to see everyone there.

I hope everyone is having a great summer and looking forward to getting back to our second home, the Lodge, in the fall. The next few months I am sure will be enjoyable and very memorable. I can honestly say that being in the East these past few months has been one of the highlights of my life. I have thoroughly enjoyed every second of it so far.

I hope everyone is having a great April. Our April 5th meeting was simply amazing. The featured speaker was Emily Hoffman, a patient at Shriners Hospital. She spoke about her amazing journey through our Shriners hospital system. Her parents also came and spoke to the lodge. Her mother wrote a book for children about her daughter and her journey to better health. Both of them were inspirational speakers.

If you haven’t been to our Lodge meetings this year you have been missing a lot. Our February meeting featured a talk from a Holocaust survivor’s son. Dr. Jonathan Anoclk. He was brought to us by the Esther Raab Holocaust Museum and Goodwin Educational Center. Dr. Jonathan spoke about his mother who was a concentration camp survivor. The talk was very informative.
