Lodge No. 2 Marches in Fourth of July Parade

On July 4, 2019, members of Lodge No. 2 marched alongside delegations from Masonic Districts A & D as part of the Salute to America Independence Day Parade, sponsored by the Philadelphia International Airport. Members of Lodge No. 2, along with over 4,000 other participants marched down Chestnut and Market Streets in Olde City Philadelphia, showcasing the various civic, nonprofit, military and municipal organizations headquartered in the city, all while wearing colonial dress inspired by the Founders of the American Revolution. Masonic Districts A & D wore their signature colonial outfits and rode on floats underscoring the contributions of Freemasonry to the Continental Congress, 9 delegates of whom were Freemasons that signed the Declaration of Independence. Our second float was a rendition of Bro. George Washington and his soldiers crossing the Delaware river. Many thanks to Bro. Robert Santoro for organizing our lodge’s involvement in this spectacular celebration.
