Interviewing John Descano and John Gigliotti
/In anticipation of the United States Semiquincentennial celebration in 2026, Lodge No. 2 of the Free & Accepted Masons of Pennsylvania are conducting a series of interviews of the membership to speak to their experiences of Freemasonry in general and Lodge No. 2 in particular. Given Lodge No. 2’s founding prior to the Revolutionary War and the roles many among its ranks played in America’s struggle for independence, we thought this a fitting opportunity to highlight Lodge No. 2’s membership and to showcase our continued commitment to upholding the values of liberty, freedom and democracy.
Tonight we are joined by Bros. John Descano, P.M. and John Gigliotti, P.M. both of whom served as Worshipful Masters of their respective lodges over the course of their Masonic careers. With over eight decades of service to the fraternity between them, Bros. Descano and Gigliotti share their favorite memories of the Craft and the lifelong friendships they have made that inspire them to continue to give back to Freemasonry.
