Lodge No. 2 to Volunteer at Grace Cafe

Lodge No. 2 will be partnering with Grace Cafe at the Arch Street United Methodist Church to serve home-cooked meals to some of Philadelphia’s most vulnerable residents on Sun., 30-Apr-2023 from 3:00-6:30 p.m. Grace Cafe is a faith-based organization whose mission is to provide food and fellowship to the city’s less fortunate. Volunteers will be asked to greet visitors, serve dishes, bus tables, assemble “to-go” meals and provide a memorable experience to our guests.

Lodge No. 2 and the LuLu Shriners will be hosting an Easter Bunny Breakfast & Egg Hunt on Sat., 01-Apr-2023 at 9:00 a.m. at the LuLu Shrine in Plymouth Meeting, PA. Come take your picture with the Easter Bunny at LuLu Shrine where there will an egg hunt, games and prizes! Tickets may be purchased online or via check. See the attached flyer for details.

On Tues., 07-Mar-2023, Lodge No. 2 welcomed Dr. Jonathan R. Anolik from the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) of Southern New Jersey who recounted the life and times of his mother, Erna Roth Anolik—a Holocaust survivor. Lodge No. 2 and the LuLu Shriners will be hosting a St. Patrick’s Day Party on Fri., 17-Mar-2023 at 6:30 p.m. at the LuLu Shrine in Plymouth Meeting, PA. Come celebrate the season where there will be a full buffet and bar along with classic Irish music, fun and games.

Lodge No. 2 to Visit Old Village Roastery

Lodge No. 2 and the LuLu Shriners will be attending a coffee roasting and tasting demonstration on Sun., 05-Mar-2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Old Village Roastery in Lahaska, PA. The demonstration is expected to last approximately 45 minutes, after which guests will be able to browse the various business establishments at the historic Peddler’s Village.

Lodge No. 2 to Attend ZOLOCON Sci-Fi Expo

Lodge No. 2 and the LuLu Shriners will be attending the ZOLOCON Sci-Fi Fantasy Expo on Sun., 26-Feb-2023 at 9:00 a.m. at the Fuge Convention Center in Warminster, PA. Come peruse 2 floors of pop culture memorabilia at the largest comic and toy show in Bucks County. Aside from the massive display of vintage and modern comics and toys, there will also be a book signing by legendary illustrator Mike Grell as well as a tattoo station. You won’t want to miss this event that’s fun for all ages!

It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as Worshipful Master of Lodge No. 2 for the past two years. I am forever grateful to all of you for trusting me with presiding over such a venerable institution, and I hope that I have done right by it. As someone who has studied this Lodge’s history, it will always be amazing to me that I have served in the long line of masters that began with Bro. George Brooks in 1757.
