Continuing in its mission to partner with local nonprofits in the city of Philadelphia, Lodge No. 2 will be serving meals at the Gift of Life Howie’s House, which serves as a “home away from home” for transplant patients and their families by providing temporary, affordable lodging, meals and supportive services to those who travel to Philadelphia for transplant-related care. Every evening, the staff at the House host volunteers from the community to prepare meals for patients currently staying on premise, in a manner reminiscent of the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House.

Derr, R.W.G.M. for his steadfast commitment to the Craft. With a Masonic career spanning well over half a century, Bro. Robert J. Crotts, P.M., has served the fraternity with honor and distinction as Worshipful Master of Frankford-Brown Lodge No. 751 in 2000 as well as the Most Excellent High Priest of the Harmony Royal Arch Chapter No. 52 in 2015—to name but a few of his many esteemed titles.

Lodge No. 2 Wins 2nd Place at FEZtival of Trees

Holiday cheer arrived early this year when members of Lodge No. 2 participated in LuLu Shriners’ FEZtival of Trees & Lights, where 49 Masonic Lodges and Shrines from Philadelphia and the surrounding counties decorated Christmas trees to showcase their support for LuLu Shrine and the local Shriners Hospital for Children.

 As this is my final message to you I wanted to say thank you for allowing me to have the honor to serve all of you in the East this past year. I can say this was one of the most memorable experiences in my life and I am humbled by being able to experience it. This past year we have had some very memorable Stated Meetings and events. On November 7th, we will be having a Masonic wedding at the Temple. Kim and I will be renewing our vows. We plan to start at 6:15 p.m. We will have the Masonic wedding ceremony upstairs in the lodge room. After the ceremony the guests will go downstairs and enjoy some music (a duo named The Side Chicks) and appetizers. During this time, the brethren will have a short meeting. After the meeting the men will join everyone else and have a nice dinner.

Officer Robert J. Shisler passed away on May 7, 2023 of Deptford, NJ. Age 27. Beloved son of Robert H. Shisler of Deptford and Tracy (nee Hawkins) of Deptford, NJ. Loving brother of Ashley Shisler of Mantua and Tyler Shisler of Deptford. Cherished grandson of Marion Shisler of Depford, Robert A. Shisler of Deptford, Ethel Hawkins of Barrington, and the late Gary Hawkins. He is survived by his godparents, Danny Resnik and Brenda Simpkins, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
